Project 7 Mostly Mozart Festival

The poster below features the advertisement of an outstanding orchestral performance of the Mostly Mozart Festival presented by the Licoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York.
The balance in the poster is assymmetrical. The introductory title I placed off to the left and the Mostly Mozart Festival underneath and to the left to lead the eye to the violin on the right edge. The violin counterbalances Mozart's portrait, and the rest of the text is lined up with the edges of the violin near the bottom on the right. Mozart fills out the bottom left corner of the poster.  Everything is pretty much the same size, text and images alike, which makes the poster appealing and easy to look at. There is unity in the color of the text, and there is a similar color scheme between Mozart and the violin. The background is all one dark color, and I added a picture of Mozart's sheet music in the background, so the lines are even and uniform throughout.
There is even rhythm throughout, created by the sheet music I just mentioned. The text is the same size, which also keeps a steady rhythm.
The typography is nothing special. It's all the same, golden color, and same font. The cursive combined with the simpler serif font creates a sophisticated, no-nonsense appeal. It is supposed to attract the classical folk in a straightforward manner, but leaving a little mystery and incentive to come to the performance.

I could have done a lot more with this poster, or at least refining it in some way. For example, making the background sheet music fade to black as it approaches the violin. Or placing the title on some sort of banner or ribbon to set it apart from the rest of the poster.
The poster below also features an advertisement for the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and their fantastic presentation of the Mostly Mozart Festival.
The introductory title is not in any special shape, but rather at the top in the middle to set up the rest of the poster and lead the eye down to the rest of the poster. I added those fancy lines in the top corners to make it fancy, but to also balance out the busts at the bottom of the poster. From left to right, the poster is in symmetrical balance, while from top to bottom is it kind of assymmetrical.
There is unity throughout as everything is centered and within the color scheme. The words are golden while the background and busts are black and white.
The rhythm is created by the sheet music I placed in the background of this poster, as well. The musicans' busts also create a sense of rhythm.
I attempted to make a piece of art out of the text, to make the words look like a treble symbol. I added the treble symbol in the background so you knew what it was. The text sort of leads the eyes down to the rest of the information and is interesting to look at because of its shape. The font works in the same way as above, but, put into a shape, is supposed to attract a younger audience who are more visual.

Again, I could have gone further with this poster as well in refining a few things and making it look better. I had an idea for the faces at the bottom, but it didn't really work out that well.
