This is my final project in my Intro to CADD class. The goal of this project was to design a large facility and draw its floor plan. I aimed to create an outdoor facility with an Olympic-sized pool and multi-purpose auxiliary pool that comfortably seats approximately 400 people on the ground level and more in upper levels. The entrance to the facility and the open-air are on the left and right of the floor plan, respectively. The open-air is signified by dashed lines. The center of the floor plan features the main, Olympic-sized pool, strategically placed so that the swimmers can be viewed from all seats. The auxiliary pool was added to the facility to provide a multi-purpose space for swimmers to warm-up or cool-down before and after a race. The auxiliary pool can also be used as a dive tank. The bleachers placed on the bottom side of the floor plan would be used by coaches to watch the races closely and by swimmers to house their unused gear during races.
