Intro to Fibers, Fall 2015
In this piece, I examine what it means, to me, to be a woman who creates. I manifest the traditional woman, who sews, crochets, and "makes" food. The food references my so called "female" anatomy- milk from my breast, a stone fruit as a euphemism for the vagina, eggs for ovulation, yogurt as a bodily byproduct- but cannot be consumed. the food is only for decoration, and it is as fake as the food i played pretend with as a young girl.
