Remnants of a project where, through collage, I explored various gadget designs as if the 1950s had been fused with 2015. Initially exploring the future of sleep, I became obsessed with the gadgets, as well as the look created through the process.
To start, I gathered as many gadgets and appliances I could find and proceeded to scan them on a photocopier five times over to give each image the same texture/feel. Afterwards I cut every component out from each gadget and reassembled them into unique new and unrecognizable forms.
Overall, I enjoy the alien creations that maintain an uncanny familiarity.
