Permeable brick pavers edge an Urban Forest Bioswale, collecting and filtering stormwater runoff.
Plan : Vegetation and permeable surfaces are added to the parking lot, mitigating stormwater runoff that would otherwise flow unrestricted into the drainage pipes that dump into Boulder Creek.
Section Cut : Stormwater travels accross the parking lot and the design exposes it to rain gardens, permeable pavers, and bioswales, where it is delayed and subsequently filtered as the water is allowed to infiltrate the surface and percolate downward.
