♠ THE PURPOSE ♠
 
Apocalypse Deck is a diploma project for my 2015 bachelor degree in graphic design.
The idea was to create poker-sized playing cards, together with package, based on the motif
of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Additionally, the style was to be inspired by selected Art Noveau artists.
 
 
♠ CONCEPT ♠
 
Each suit was assigned one of the four characters.
Accordingly, the figures in each suit were designed to share common elements and characteristics of Death, War, Plague or Famine. 
The joker cards represent to horses of the Horsemen, as described in the Apocalypse.
To maintain a more elegant style the use of colors was narrowed to black, white and golden.
The project is primarily designed for special print including the use of uv coating and gold foil or gold metallic pantone.
