A visual represetation of my time living in Iceland for half of 2015. The the high contrast of the nature of the country (land of fire & ice, 3 hours of sunlight in the Winter vs. 3 hours of "darkness" in the Summer) was a beautiful & inspirational time in my life. Everything seemed to belend together well despite the stark contrast.

Sculptural forms
Ice.
A closed loop sculpture project. My wife is pregnant with my second son and I wanted to make a work that visual and physically connects the nurturing qualities of pregnancy to the Earth. When the sculpture melted, it became water that nurished the soil in our backyard and aided the growth of the grass much like how my wife's body is nuturing and growing our son. The materials left behind from this project have been used to benefit something else and there was zero waste.
