Identity /
This logo needed to say green and smart in a fun and new way. I wanted to stay far away from the usual "green" logo traps, so I took the tree you'd expect to see and planted it on this guy's dome.
Packaging /
Let's be honest. Most trash bag packaging is reduced to a glorious mash-up of fluorescent colors and bursts the size of the check out counter. In designing the packaging for this new biodegradable trash bag line, I took the opposite approach; using a super simple and utilitarian design on untreated craft board to differentiate product lines and stand out in the trash bag aisle because it sits back.
Print /
Here are a few of the print executions from this integrated campaign created entirely from repurposed and recycled materials. The textural and layered compositions coupled with some fun writing made these guys really sing.
Website /
To echo the sentiment of the products it represents, I literally built this website (and the rest of the brand) entirely out of repurposed and recycled materials. To do so, I spent a week rummaging through salvage yards, took what I found into the studio to photograph and created a brand library of textures and design elements to create the textural and layered look of Green Genius.
Trade Show /
Similar to the packaging, I designed this trade show booth to stand out in its surroundings because it's simple, fun and gets to the point. It stuck out like a sore thumb and helped drive awareness and distribution of Green Genius.
Video /
Created for the launch of the Green Genius brand, this piece was meant to explain exactly how a biodegradable bag actually biodegrades. Obviously, it gets pretty complicated, but we tried to whittle it down to a true story that anyone could understand (using our friends the almighty microbes). I don't think the statue is biodegradable, but this spot got me a Telly in 2010.
