As part of my internship with Meredith College's Office of Career Planning, I was tasked with redesigning our office's publication called the Career Guide. I compiled content from career counselors into a roughly 40 page book created in InDesign. I collaborated with career counselors for several rounds of proof-reading, editing, and tweaking page layouts. I also communicated with our printer to assess costs and evaluate printing options. 

 

Design-wise, I wanted to create a cover that felt cohesive with the Meredith College brand, following the official Meredith College style guide. Our budget for page layouts was limited to one color, so I experimented with using only black and white layouts as well as tightly designed content to minimize the page count. This publication gave me experience designing with limited means as well as preparing files for print.
