I was lucky enough to have spent this past semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Being in a foreign place and encompassed in a fairly different attitude than the one I have grown used to affected the way I perceive daily life. I made it a point to bring my camera wherever I went in hopes of capturing the brief moments in which I felt I could describe this surreal cultural transition. These images are of moments, people, places and, things that I felt translated my personal journey of the past semester. I think of it as a sort of wide-spread collage that reflects my own personal experience.
