Planes, Frames, Mass and Skin

These sketch models helped my understanding of spatial awareness and abstracting forms.
Schindler House

A collaboration between myself, Christina Stone and Esther Cho. For this project we had to study a precedent project and build a model. We had to redraw the analysis drawings and I redrew the site plan.
Remington Resturant and Underground Concert Space
This project was to help us to understand how a community interacts with space and figuring out what is most important to the community. I wanted to make the space into two separate spaces, one for the day time and one for the night time. This project was helpful in understanding how to design a space for a specific community and being able to design more of the landscaping. The first floor is part pop up cafe and part bar and resturant. My second floor is the night space with a stage and a bar. The materials used were for light for the second floor. The glass is to show the community that it is a public space and the added trellis was for shading for first floor. This project also expanded my skills with model making.
Outdoor Classroom

This classroom was designed for students trying to learn more about Baltimore and their surroundings. The reason I have angled views it to show the relationship between the industrial part of Baltimore, Covington Park and the water. Interacting with all three of these views will help the students understand their relationship between nature and the world that they're living in now, with the more industrial and built environment.
I wanted to make people move through space by their relationship to walls and specific openings. I wanted to force them into a space and to be able to see the relationship of where they start and where they end up, which is on the water.
Ventilation Block

The Ventilation Block was a collaboration between myself, Christina Stone and Dan Ashirov.
We had to design formwork and pour concrete to create our final block to scale. This project was helpful in understanding how to use both digital tools and physical tools. The final photo is our final concrete block.
