Hands-On Design Kit
A self-initiated project which explores hands-on design processes and techniques, from embossing to screen printing to letterpress. This project is about encouraging design students to explore these physical design processes by giving them a kit to work from. The kit contains a book of inspiration to refer to, created during my own exploration of the processes. It also contains an instruction manual for the main processes, a blank set of paper, a cork board to pin up the explorations and experiments, and all the materials needed for the user to create their own reference book of their best experiments.
This project allowed me to explore my passion for physical, hands-on creative processes – creating the kit almost entirely by hand – whilst creating an outcome which encourages others to develop their own exploration process.
