POSTER Hamlet

I normally resist using human subjects in posters because they're so familiar, they can overwhelm whatever idea is in the poster's charge. But given that the play Hamlet is about the man Hamlet, I instead attempted to capture Hamlet's fractured being by quartering the illustration in a way that also evoked the Scandinavian cross of the Danish flag. The head was illustrated in pencil and ink, with digital embellishments, and was based on the actor playing the title role.
