Visual Identity Suite: Convoke

Convoke (2016)
iphone case concept, hangtags, packaging design

The project’s goal was to develop a visual identity suite for a lifestyle accessories brand, with ethically sourced materials and forward thinking identity. Convoke is a smartphone case with individual colorful wooden parts that can be rearranged to express the individual’s style. Each case would be unique.

Hangtags
Convoke promotes sustainability not only by the material sourcing, but also by encouraging customers to engage in its sustainable activities and promotions. Customers can return pieces to swap for new ones, generating more store visits or page views, and allowing the company to recycle the wooden pieces.
Shoppers
Drawstring bag is sustainable; it can be reused for other purposes. It also gets the brand out to new customers who might not know about Convoke.
Process
inspirational visual references, which include bold color palettes, colored wooden pieces, patterns, and modular parts.

Logo Development
Convoke means calling something together, assembling a conference, and assembling of things. The case is formed by assembling pieces, thus the name Convoke is used.

Preliminary Packaging Sketches
These are some sketches of my packaging ideas exploration that could be both compelling in product display and semantically function as a packaging system.
