This Was the first step making a mould out of liquid rubber of the dried clay hand. After the the rubber dried off we covered it with plaster for extra support when pouring in the melted wax.
This is the final product before it is casted into Bronze. The wax melts away and it's replaced by the melted Bornze. That is why it's called the Lost wax method.
An identical replica of the hand from Clay to Wax.
After all the impurities are taken out the Bronze is poured into moulds to take form and let to solidify. As you can see a tall metal spoon is used to take out the molten Bronze from the Burn Hole and poured into the Moulds.
Every Drop counts !!
The Melted Bronze poured into the molds so it could solidify, so that later it could be remelted according to how much is needed so not to waste.
