As part of this project, we visited the Walter's Art Museum in Baltimore. Each of us had to select seven products with a common thread from their collection, add three contemporary products that belonged to the same theme and then document them in any form.
Curiositi is an interactive application that showcases a collection of bizarre objects that evoke an instant curiosity in anyone. This collection is sorted by thought, time period, and location. The idea behind using 'thought' as a way to sort through this collection was that each of these objects instantly raises a thought or a question about its origin or purpose.
I chose to curate this collection in the form of an app that could be used within the museum. It was a natural choice as museums are increasingly shifting towards digital media for presenting information, or to generate interest. This was my first time working on UI/UX Design. I decided to keep the navigation simple and intuitive, in order to maximize the ease of its use, since museums cater to people of all ages and backgrounds.
