K&Company teamed with Ancestry.com - the world's largest family history web site - to create a beautiful, comprehensive, family history scrapbook collection. It was made to help people on their journeys of discovery of their own family ancestry. I led a two person team that designed the whole Ancestry product line from start to finish and coordinated information with Ancestry.com. There were 31 products in the initial roll out of this line.
This was an Accordion Fold Organizing System to use for keeping track of all of the family papers, information, photos, etc. that someone may have or find. It included file tabs and stickers, a guidebook that helped you know where to start, and worksheets such as "How To Organize", a "Pedigree Chart" and a topics worksheet. I designed these products, collaborated with a copywriter on the concept as well as the content when needed and provided direction to the production team in order to complete it.
The Family History Guidebook was a 9 step guide to help in family history research. Many times people did not know where to start and were overwhelmed by a project like this. This guide was made to help people know where to start and what to do. We tried to make it as easy as possible. I worked with a copywriter on the concept and content, I designed the book, coordinated the samples to be made, had the samples photographed and did some of the production. I worked with a member on the production team in order to complete it.
This Keepsake Record Book Kit was made to be a keepsake to share with family members. It also helped record your own family history details such as your marriage, information about you, about your spouse, family traditions, family stories, etc. There were places left for photos and memorabilia.
