"FROM GRAFFITI TO ART"

First solo exhibition "From graffiti to art"

Streetart gallery "SWEATER", Russia, Yekaterinburg, November 12, 2015 — January 17, 2016.
On November 12, the street art gallery "Sweater" opens new exhibition. It was the first solo exhibition of the artist Sergey Akramov, also known in the street art as Sunset (Закат), under the intriguing title "From graffiti to art".

This exhibition shows the way of becoming the author's handwriting from the classic street painting to figurative painting with abstract elements. The first solo exhibition of Sergey was held in street art gallery "Sweater" because he started his career with street painting.

"In my paintings I try to convey the effect  of impression from environment, my observations of the world around. I was impressed when we get into the a new environment, the beauty which amazes us and our eye "runs", jumping from one element to another. In my works I'm trying to convey this effect  of impression from environment. These textures that I use have these pieces of the environment that our eyes had seen. Mostly they are aggressive, dynamic, sometimes more plastic. This is the reality of texturing, which attracts me find a combination of these elements with each other ", - says Sergey.

This artwork is about my own evolution from dirty graffiti to finearts; evolution from my nickname to my original real name!
"THE THAW"
It does not matter how cold and aggressive environment around. The main thing - that you keep your inner warm, and then it melts the coldness and indifference around, and then there will thaw.
