Hand-Dyed and Screen Printed Silk Scarves

This scarf collection includes three large 27” x 27” silk charmeuse scarves and three smaller 17" x 17" scarves. These three large scarves demonstrate the main pattern design, which are screen-printed, and there is scarf for each color way of the pattern. The methods of dying used are immersion dying, uneven dying and a screen-printing. The second set of 17” x 17” scarves and demonstrate 3 different coordinating patterns, each scarf in one of the three color ways. These coordinating patterned scarves are designed with the use of wax as a resist and then painted with thickened reactive dye. Each square silk scarf is hemmed and finished off with a double-fold sewn stitch. A personalized embroidered cloth tag is also attached to the hem of the fabric.
