This short book was a personal project about Luck.

Entitled ‘Fuck That School (The Unluckiest Week Of My Life)’, It’s narrative depicts a dramatic week at during secondary school, at the time, a means to vent and visualise my frustration at the institution. 

 

Three events described over a double page spread, typset through the Van De Graaf Canon. The book is small and narrow, at 120mm X 210mm. It’s main feature was an A1 length page which displays a code of colour=emotion representations. Size and aggression of colour and space visualises my descent of mood from the beginning to the end of the week, corresponding to the story to the left of the intrusively long page.

It was my first authentic venture into book binding and the mathematical world of printing dimensions.
