Each day a different style, a hand drawn sketch and the digitalized version.

As part of my daily calligraphy and lettering practice I have been sketching the current day's name. This helps me train my eye to different types of letter construction, writing tools and styles and typographic moods.
Monday: The cheerful flow of ink-dripping brush lettering
Tuesday: All the lyrical nature you can expect from a day
Wednesday: Symmetrically in the middle of the week with a monolinear geometric sans
Thursday: When the week grows old, so does the fractura
Friday: Electric, exciting, exccentric
Saturday: A juicy-comfy day for a querky sans
Sunday: A friendly and casual day with a calm autority
An example of the kind of starting sketch used for each day.
Many of the sketches I started with some suggestions from typecooker.com, such as scribbled in the top left. Pencil on A4.
Enjoy your week :)
