A student project we were supposed to showcase a typeface. The typeface I chose is Keedy, or Bondage Bold, which is a more off-color, rebellious typeface created by Emigre. The type was designed to push boundaries, so the style that I chose was to use the letterforms as visual clutter, treating the letters like they were junk; using them to build larger letters and create a detailed, contrast-heavy look.
I created a book that showcases Keedy's strengths and weaknesses, its most effective uses, and the story of how the typeface was created.
