REGINA SPEKTOR, CD PACKAGE
What We Saw From The Cheap Seats by Regina Spektor is a very elegant and light hearted album. Singer and songwriter Regina Spektor plays the piano in nearly every song in this album. The package was created to emulate a piano to match the music. This project was inspired by Louise Fili, an American graphic designer.
The front cover is completely hand created type and flourishes to mimic the flowy sound of Spektor’s singing voice and Fili’s design style. On the inside of the package there is the cd and a booklet filled with lyrics to every song on the album. Underneath the booklet is an illustration of the inner workings of a piano. The color pallet was used to show Spektor’s feminine side.
