For this project, I had to research on a couple of different expressions like a pattern, repetition or rhythm.
Rhythm is a combination of elements repeated, but with variations. When one or more components of the design are frequently used to generate a feeling of structured movement, a rhythm is formed. A repetition refers to one object or shapes repeated. A pattern is a combination of elements or shapes repeated in a recurring and regular arrangement.
Another challenge that I faced completing this project was to put the types in their right position so that they express something. Showing expressions are always tricky, and this is the part what makes this sort of design very tricky. Abstract art is one the best examples of this type of design. Abstract art - a visual language of color, line, form or shape to create a masterpiece that might exist with a gradation of freedom from visual indications in the planet. Below is the image of creating a new letter from the existing letters.
As a human being, we have a limit to present our expression, yet there is no limit to display the phrase with typography. A little transformation in design can give a different appearance. Abutting - shapes directly placed next to (abutting) one another. Way touches way, create a shared edge. Pieces that are positioned close enough to a sort of gravity pull to occur between them, giving the area of separation a strong feel of tension is known as mutual pressure. Some of the examples of these types of design are listed below.
An Emphasis or a Focal Point is the area of a masterpiece to which the eyes gets drawn to. In this image, the viewer is drawn into the design because of the size and depth of the letter A.
Even though this was one of the challenging projects I have worked on, this project gave me some of the design tactics to deal with similar typographic projects. The outcome of this project came as I have planned. By completing this project, I tightened the grip on my skill in illustrator and also get to know more about typeface expression in details.
