Foundation Colour Project 3- Creating an illusion of depth

This painting is based on a photograph I took earlier this year. I used it as a reference to create this artwork, which was done using gouache paint. I made the grey scale version as a reference to help me where to put the colours. I only used primary colours (red, blue and yellow) to create tint, tone and shade. This scenery painting is simple but dramatic because of the bold colours. The size of the artwork is 11” by 17’. I named this artwork “504 Parliament”
