Julia Hoffmann: A Retrospective
Julia Hoffmann, who is currently the creative director at the Museum of Modern Art, has an incredibly diverse body of work. As a student at SVA, she designed several print publications. As a partner at Pentagram, she developed identity systems, and at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, she specialized in interactive campaigns and websites. Now, her work is larger than ever and, of course, placed in a three-dimensional space. Through my design system for her retrospective, I wanted to clearly communicate her versatility—her many layers as a graphic designer. The shift from print, to interactive, to environmental design is represented by the unfolding, dimensional shapes, and the pixilated icons which symbolize each respective medium.
