Tact is a guidance system primarily designed for the visually impaired to gain confidence to use the London bus.
It is a modular system that would benefit not only people living with impaired vision, but also people living with other disabilities.

Tact is making a direct connection between the user at the bus stop and the bus driver. Press the button for the bus you need and it will send a message to the closest bus driver. Giving information to the bus driver prior arriving to the bus stop would allow him to deck the bus safely and could even ask other passengers to free a priority seat. Tact will also allow the user to know when the next bus is approaching with a speaker, an information hard to obtain today by people living with sight loss.

This inclusive service design is looking to disrupt the existing bus system, while improving the current bus structure. Driven by simplicity and independence, Tact aims at creating for the users the freedom of navigating the problematic London infrastructure. Because of its straightforwardness, Tact can easily be added to the existing bus infrastructure straightaway, with the end goal of improving our experience for tomorrow.
