During the process of creating this book jacket I took measurements and sketched quick thumbnails for the design. I drew inspiration from looking at other book covers and choosing the design that I felt complemented the spirit of the book that I had chosen. Beast of Burden being a series of stories surrounding animal supernatural investigators, I imagined a silhouette design on a dark background would fit the atmosphere of the story best. The illustration is all my own and the title is hand drawn. I used the font "Walkway" as a complement to my thin, hand drawn title.
