I worked with Sprout and their proprietary platform to create this Facebook Application for Disney’s release of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.

Through a series of Facebook fan pages, fans join the Mad Hatter’s Army of Disloyal Subjects.

Each user can easily insert a photo from their computer, webcam, or Facebook into a Mad Hatter cut-out and customize it to fit. The Sprout platform also allowed for a unified experience across rich ad-units and the Disney website. Fans Remix, Mash-up & Share with FriendsAimed at emo or goth-leaning teens, the Facebook presence focuses in on the Hatter and the Red Queen and carries over Burton’s dark and dramatic tones.

The experience brings users into the conversation.Fans can RSVP to a movie premiere event and are encouraged to send their personalized Hatter to friends on Facebook.

Each delivery to a friend ripples out through the Facebook social graph with the added personal endorsement of the fan. Recipients can simply click the widget to join and announce their own induction into the Hatter Army.With the wide reach and the engaging experience — recruits started averaging over 1000 every day in the first week.
