The new KV youtube channel logo was designed to accompany inhouse videos such as tutorials and Q&A. It obviously borrows from youtube's thematic design. The violin is a knock out of an actual image taken specifically for the logo. The chinrest and complexities created by the spiral were left in favor of a previous version which had a more 'classical' violin shape. The previous version lacked the vivaciousness of the final version.
A red inversion of the strings contrasting the given white sections definately flushed out the logo's dimension better in large offerings, but when placed in it's natural small size would often render too choppy of a manner and so was left off.
A pair of similar QR codes were created for use in small (A4) flyer. I used unitag.io to generate the initial QR Code, however their sequencing did not allow for image overlay ontop of the QR Code. The option for URL shortening was viable, but a direct link was most desirable, so because of the high quality encoding necessary for the longer URL, the provided logo in the center was not acceptable.
Instead, I ran the code without the logo using the provided desirable stylizations. I then experimented with logo placement and layer styles in photoshop. Finally, I tested the QR codes pre-print, however testing on multiple devices would have been ideal.
