Earlier this year I painted up a helmet for a local drag racer, on request of his son who I went to high school with. He liked my black flying eye/skull helmet and wanted a similar idea. The oddest request was to make the skull "friendlier" so as not to scare children. The colors also needed to be close to those on the car. The biggest challenge in that was I didn't get to see the car up close and in person, I had to judge the colors based on photographs.
No airbrush used. All of this is done by brush.
