Recently I did a series of book covers that featured sympathetic classic monsters from literature and by contrast also wanted to portray modern monsters with apologists. Woody Allen was one of those I chose to present this way.

I first rendered a rough 3D model of Woody in zBrush prior to importing that into Photoshop in order to add depth and shading as well as clean up any rough edges. I then placed it upon a background of an old perspective drawing image I discovered when cleaning out old artwork. I found it succinct due what makes him a monster in this series.
