A university brief to redesign book covers for a Penguin Modern Classics series: Haruki Murakami’s The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha and Pedro Zarraluki’s The History of Silence. I decided to link these books through the strong emotions presented throughout. For each cover I designed an illustrative heart pattern to represent this. The placement and colour schemes used for each pattern intend to individually represent these.
