Dismantled Cassettes

Prints made using copper plate, combined with internal elements from a cassette. The etched surface in these prints is not the main graphical feature, but the background. I used a discarded plate that had been overly exposed to acid. This would occur during the etching process when a printmaker doesnt properly protect the back in the acid bath. I inked the plate up and placed the other elements over the surface to create interesting compositions. By reversing the traditional method of etching a new process it created.
