An animated pop-up book for my Motion Graphics project. 
 
Tells the story about a monster called “Nian” that used to raid ancient Chinese villages. Once the villagers were taught how to and defeated him, this started the tradition of Chinese New Year. 
 
Graphics were designed in Photoshop while the animation was done in After Effects. I used Premiere Pro to edit the sound.
