Jungle typography was, for me, a personal exercise to learn new technical skills within Adobe Photoshop. I wanted to challenge myself with creating visually striking pieces of typographic art using texture rendering, photo warping and 3d tools on the program (all of these techniques were new to me at the time.

The initial first draft (above right) was an initial concept using image manipulation layer styles to add depth and texture to the "forest floor" backdrop. The texture of each letter's bespoke texture adds to the vibrancy. The strong use of fur texturing via Photoshop's grass brush for the fur adds to the realism.

The final revision (Above left) was to add dimension and perspective by shortening the original backdrop and fully rendering the bamboo from scratch using the skills learned during the original rendering processes.
The Finished design could be better. The perspective needs to be more aligned. It does add a "quirky charm".
