The craft of natural dyeing is as beautiful as it is illuminating! In remote Uttarakhand, at an organisation called AVANI, this ancient knowledge of deriving color from the lush plant kingdom is being extensively studied, practiced, preserved and promoted, as they work towards cleaning up the textile industry one colour at a time. 

As their in-house photographer and content creator, I took this set of images to showcase the beauty of natural dyes in textiles. Have a look at the brilliant shades, derived from a collection of leaves, roots, flowers and fruits!
