Ramoen

ABOUT
_
‘Ramoen’ is a Norwegian based company with a long history and presence within the fishing industry, starting at 1914. Since the establishment they have always been a forerunner in the development of deep-sea fishing in the North Atlantic Sea, as well as improving the utilization of their product. These core values were important to visualise in the logo; a steady, rooted company that simultaneously is new thinking and "leads the way". ‘Ramoen’ = pioneers.

The characteristics of the letters A and M in the logo gives associations to the meeting point of the Norwegian "alps", the fjords and the deep ocean, and therefore links directly to the company's home base (‘Ramoen’ is both the name of the company and their “factory” boat, and also of the mountain situated close to the coast-line at their home town – a mountain used as a sighting point when navigating ashore from the fishing grounds).

In order to differentiate ‘Ramoen’ from their competitors it was important to enhance their concept ‘Fresh Frozen at Sea’, as well as reduce the communication of boat in favour for greater focus on the product; high quality fish caught in the cold, fresh Arctic Sea - a product that has been processed, packed and frozen within six hours, locking in the Arctic freshness.
