Design Anarchy não defende a ideia de design sem ordem, que nega a existência de regras e paradigmas, mas sim a um design liberto da coerção, definidas por hierarquias e estruturas de poder do capitalismo e do consumismo desenfreado.
A ideia de capitalismo e de consumismo associado a esta profissão não é um conceito estranho à nossa sociedade moderna. Tal deve-se à ausência de uma coerente estrutura cultural dos profissionais, o que de certa forma leva os designers e artistas a repetir padrões que facilmente podem-se considerar errados. É necessário criar bases teóricas para o Design, formar intelectuais, reformular os programas de ensino e criar instituições para a investigação do Design enquanto este ainda está a começar a afirmar-se como uma profissão (Some Virtues of Design, Gui Bonsiepe).
O Design é uma profissão relativamente recente. Falta um propósito firme, livre das inúmeras crises ideológicas que tem vindo a sofrer.
A consciencialização do designer deve focar-se no gosto em servir causas que defenda. É importante cometer loucuras, quebrar regras e dogmas intelectuais, misturar a arte com ideologia e, particularmente, trabalhar para a Natureza e não contra ela.

Design Anarchy doesn’t defend the idea of a design without order that denies the existence of rules and paradigms, but rather to a design released from coercion, defined by hierarchies and structures of capitalism and unbridled consumerism.
The idea of capitalism and consumerism associated with this profession is not a concept foreign to our modern society. This is due to the absence of a coherent cultural structure of the professionals, which in a way induce designers and artists to repeat patterns that can easily be considered wrong. It is necessary to create theoretical principles for Design, educate intellectuals, reformulate teaching programs and create institutions for Design investigation while this one still in the beginning to assert itself like a profession (Some Virtues of Design,
Gui Bonsiepe).
Design is a relatively recent profession. It lacks a solid purpose, free from the innumerable ideological crises that has been suffering.
The designer's awareness should focus on enjoyment of serving causes that he defends. It is important to freak-out, to break rules and intellectual dogmas, mix art with ideology and, particularly, work for Nature and not against to it.
