This is my first illustration of a cartoon character
My favourite tool is Pencil, Shape Builder and Blending mode, I always use this style in my illustration.
About the style:
First, I draw a base objects with a pencil tool, with a tablet – the pencil is easy to draw ^^, for the shading, I draw some objects on this base object, use shape builder to erase unwanted pieces, set multiply mode for shadow and screen mode for highlight… with this shading allow me to use Recolor Arwork so easier.
