About Journey to Brown
JOURNEY TO BROWN involved collecting data and generating content related to our commute to the Brown Center (MICA Digital Arts building). I recorded anything I could think of, ranging from amount of time spent walking to the number of pigeons seen. We were then to create icons that related to our data in a short, loose exercise. Finally, a poster that beautifully displays our data was created using Illustrator. Information Designer Nicolas Felton was a big inspiration for my design. His designs typically remain clean and simple, with a focus on data points and typography. That was the approach I took to my poster. My biggest goal was to create something that accurately and easily presented the raw data that was collected.
