Assignment 1 - Line, Value, Simple and Compound Shapes

What I learned: Pen tool, creating closed paths, special effects, gradients, creating movement through size.

Assignment 2 - Create a pattern-filled object with colour and texture

What I learned: Difference between stroke and fill, stroke options, windows panel, placing and embedding images,opacity, clipping mask, web colours.

Assignment 3 - Character Trace

What I learned:Line thickness, closed vs open paths, layers, round vs pointed anchors, shape builder.

Assignment 4 - Icon Set

What I learned: Lots of shape builder experience e.g. combining or cutting out shapes, duplicating shapes, colour scheme, using a grid, unity, developing style guidelines.

 Assignment 5 - Magazine Spread

What I learned: How to apply previous knowledge of magazine design rules e.g. equal spacing between elements, gutter, dominant photo, bleed in an Adobe Illustrator layout, making columns, creating text boxes, using a style guide, lorem ipsum.
