Over the past couple years, there have been more conversations seeking to address, diversity, inclusion, race, and power. These conversations and spaces are incredibly important to fostering inclusive discussion. This project seeks to create an inclusive space online where undergraduates, graduates, and alumni students can share how their perceptions of race have been shaped by experiences at MICA and in general.
This is the Table aims to create a guide the MICA Community can use to have improved discussions about race and identity. The Table features a guide and a magazine featuring experiences from students about the tensions of discussing race. For viewers, The Table is for them to hear experiences and learn what they might do to improve the conversations around race.
