Art + Animal SPCA
Singaporeans are quite well-to-do and choose to buy pets from the store instead of adopting. There is also a high rate of abandonment due to boredom and other reasons after keeping their pets for some time. Although SPCA take in abandoned animals, these animals cannot be kept at the facilities for a longtime. Those animals that are still not adopted after some time would have to be putdown.
To solve this problem, the public has to be made aware of the reality of SPCA. Their facilities are small, and as they are a non-profit organisation, they are unable to take care of so many animals. The public can help by adopting their pets, instead ofbuying them. They should consider all options before deciding on a pet, as a pet is alifelong option and not just a passing hobby. The featured paintings will help to promote the selected animals that will be up for adoption.
