Aim:
The aim of this project is to show that Social Media can become overwhelming for people. Social Media is an addiction! Social Media sites may have a negative impact on face-to-face encounters for individuals who already have high levels of anxiety. Too much social media can make you sick, just like eating too many sweets can make you sick. There needs to be a balance and people need to know when to take a break.

Core Values:
This project will promote and create awareness on how Social Media is effecting peoples health.

Objectives:
My objective is to create a 30s stop motion video, using paper craft Social Media objects and icons. The video can be used across multimedia platforms to get the message out to the world, that social media can make you sick.

Rationale
The final stop motion took over 7 hours to make. The film duration is only 25 seconds long. So much work went into the overall of this project. I never made a stop motion film before, nor have I done paper craft design. I wanted to test my skills this semester, and learn something new.

When making a stop motion film, you need to have a lot of time and patiences. When design studios take on a stop motion project, they would have a team of people working on different areas of the film. Where I was just one. During this project I had to learn new job roles. On set, I was the director, producer, paper craft maker, storyboard artist, camera man and lighting technician and many more.

In the brief, I said the film was going to be 30 seconds long. It ended up being 25 seconds. I believe this time is better and it gets the message out there by promoting too much Social Media is bad for you.

Overall I really enjoyed this project and I’m happy with the end result.
