As Time Passed...
Emergence of a style
The more images I created, the less Pacific Northwest Coast elements remained. I began to experiment with motion and more fluid lines and shapes, while using animals indigenous to southwest Missouri as subjects. In 2006, I moved from rag art paper and began using 3 and 4-ply Bristol, which provided a smoother, heavier surface for the increased size my paintings were becoming. I had my first public exhibition in this same year and formally opened Pen Brady Art and Design as a business.
