Satie Soundscape
The assignment was to create an animated sequence from a short clip of sound (around 20''), using both procedural animation (linking the layers' properties to automatically generated keyframes, resulting from the conversion of the audio layer to keyframes) and manual keyframe animation.
The sound clip I used is made from fractions of Erik Satie's Gymnopédie no. 2.

The key visual references I've drawn inspiration from in this project are Hiroshi Sugimoto's Seascapes and luminograms. The look I was interested in is heavily connected to black and white analog photography.
