  • Document exploring the speculative roles of Red in three different dystopias. The first focuses on machine-human war, and the abandonment of traditional camouflage. The second focuses on private militaries, late stage capitalism's take on the Landsknecht, the German mercenaries of the late Renaissance.  The third focuses on visibility in the surveillance state, and how one comes to express oneself and defend their way of life in the blinding light of a conspicuous society.
  • "untitled" is a program written in Processing 3 that utilizes Twitter API to grab the fifteen most recent tweets containing the phrase " RIP ", and places them on virtual tombstones, panning leftwards. The user's twitter handle is displayed below, and the feed refreshes every sixty seconds. "untitled" quietly transgresses the perceived sanctity of funeral processions and ceremonies. Whenever a user hyperbolically uses the phrase "rest in peace" to describe things other than death, they unknowingly risk end up being placed alongside users actively expressing remorse at the loss of a loved one. This involuntary transgression is built into the system, filterless and simple, and is not meant to shame the users as much as bring this kind of juxtaposed unsentimental reality to view . "untitled" is a work in progress, and will consistently evolve in subtle ways, once it is properly hosted online.
