This image could be mistaken for sad. The weather had changed from hot the day before (as shown in the dusty photos in the other gallery) to wet and rainy, and perhaps the most overcast day all year. The horse enjoying a break of the hot weather took advantage to get wet and muddy before riding. When I saw the horse trying to get through the mirror to talk to the reflection I took the opportunity to capture the moment. The dark shadows against the white fur created an eery and contrasting effect, and leads you to wonder what is happening within the photo? What could the horse be thinking? What is he reflecting or are there two images?
