Painting with a blow torch and wax is a primal act. For me, it’s a necessary counterweight to my controlled, pixel-perfect professional design career. As I attempt to apply form, structure, and color to this feral medium, I am challenged, often defeated, and utterly fascinated.
A little about my background:
I earned a degree in Visual Communications and have studied with many of the talented artists at Gage Academy over the past 20 years. From 2005-2006, I was a student in Mark Kang O'Higgins Expressive Atelier. My work has evolved from colorful figurative oil paintings to the abstract encaustic pieces you see below.
